Abstrakt: The article presents an abstract of the study "CNTF Induces Gliogenesis via the JAK-STAT Signaling Pathway in Adult CNS Progenitor Cells." The study examined the effect of CNTF on hippocampal progenitors derived from adult rats. It found that CNTF is an inducer of astrocytic commitment in multipotent progenitors from the adult CNS and it differentiates along the glial lineage through the JAK-STAT signaling pathway.
