The article presents an abstract of the study "Regional Differences in Astroglial Glutamate Receptors Linked to Rises in (ca2+)." Researchers used calcium-sensitive dye fura-2 to find changes in(Ca2+),in type 1 astrocytes in primary cultures from rat hippocampus and brainstem after glutamatergic stimulation. The findings of the study show a functional regional heterogeneity for astroglial glutamate receptor expression. |
