The article offers guidelines on providing nursing care for patients with cutaneous ulcer. The first step is to determine and address the cause of the wound. Next is to evaluate any comorbidities that may interfere with wound healing. Third, evaluate how well the patient understands the nature of the ulcer and the healing process. The fourth and last step is to evaluate the wound and determine the appropriate treatment, type of dressing needed, and the need for debridement. |
