Abstrakt: |
The article offers patient-oriented evidence that matters and tips on medical care. It has been found that women tend to avoid routine cervical cancer screening due to embarrassment and fear of discomfort from the speculum examination. A nonrandomized controlled trial concludes that prophylactic bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy is effective for reducing the risk of ovarian, fallopian tube and peritoneal cancers in high-risk women. |
