Toxic shock syndrome: A silent killer.

Abstrakt: The article discusses the case of a patient with menstrual toxic shock syndrome (TSS), a multi-system condition due to the release of exotoxins by bacteria into the body. The complication reveals acute illness including fever, nausea and vomiting that leads to the suppression of the host immune system and organ failure. The diagnosis of TSS and the complications on the usage of tampons that lead to Staphylococcus aureus are also analyzed.
