The article reports on a study which examines the practicality of the minimal-incision technique in total hip arthroplasty. The authors studied the results of 170 total hip arthroplasties performed during a one-year time period. The results indicated that 96 percent of patients in the minimal incision group are satisfied with the operative results, while 90 percent in the standard-incision group stated that they are extremely satisfied. |
