Abstrakt: The article discusses the clinical features, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment for hidradenitis suppurative. It is a disease affecting apocrine-gland-bearing skin that is not initiated by infection. Patients present with abscesses commonly at or soon after puberty, which tend to be deep and rounded with no pointing or central necrosis. Treatment is aimed at controlling the disease such as antibiotics, hormonal therapy like cyproterone acetate and ethinylestradiol and steroid therapy.
