Abstrakt: |
The article focuses on satire as a genre of literature correlating with medicine. The language of medicine with explicit anatomical words is easily adaptable to satirical language. The 18th century medicine have been satirized by literary genius like Rousseau, Swift and Voltaire. The satirical treatment of medicine in the Renaissance, the medical imageries reflected medical experiences and opinions. The power of the physician and medicine to destroy or injure the human body became a satire. |
