Abstrakt: The article provides information on Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) done to geriatric patients. MMSE is a ten-minute bedside measure of impaired thinking in undeveloped, uneducated and diseased populations. The result of the test indicates the severity of cognitive impairment of patients. It is inferred decreasing scores in repeated examinations shows deterioration of cognitive capacity of the patients. The methods include tests of orientation, registration, recall, calculation and naming.
