Abstrakt: As the number of patrons entering libraries shrinks, the number of distance education programs and courses steadily grows, along with the demand for accessing resources remotely. Librarians create Web-based tutorials to meet these demands. In this article, academic health sciences librarians relate their experience creating a CINAHL (EBSCO) tutorial in collaboration with technical experts. The project's primary goal was to create a tutorial to support students to effectively use CINAHL. The secondary project goals were: (1) to identify appropriate software for the creation of a multimedia tutorial with the assistance of instructional designers: (2) to develop a prototype that could be used to create tutorials for other highly-used resources; and (3) to gain the experience and skills necessary to develop additional tutorials to serve the increasing distance education population and provide additional learning opportunities for locally based faculty, staff, and students. While the librarians' experience searching and teaching CINAHL and the instructional designers' design expertise and technology knowledge complimented each other, the collaborative processes were sometimes arduous. This article describes the challenges and difficulties encountered in the creative process. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
