| Abstrakt: |
The article presents the case of a patient with Niemann-Pick disease who developed chronic perianal granulomata which is clinically and histologically characteristic of Crohn's disease. Niemann-Pick disease is a degenerative disorder associated with the accumulation of the lipid sphingomyelin in histiocytes, macrophages and reticulum cells within a wide range of tissues. There has been no previous recorded association between Niemann-Pick and Crohn's disease. |
