The article reports that the Mark Foley sex scandal marks the end of the "Republican revolution" as the party strays far from the ideals of Ronald Reagan. The political machinery that propelled the Republicans reliably into party for the past 12 years has led to pork and heavy spending, precisely what the party claimed to be against. Failing foreign and security policy made the party vulnerable to the Foley scandal. |
