The article discusses how economics could help in the upcoming United States mid-term elections. President George W. Bush has seen his approval rating increase steadily due to decreased gas prices and despite growing unhappiness over the war in Iraq. Many believe the president is trying to use the economic upswing to shift the focus away from the Iraq conflict. Statistical predictions show that the Republican Party will lose several seats but will continue to control Congress. |
