The article presents views of several educators in the U.S. on teacher's pension. Commissioner of Education W. T. Harris, expresses his doubt over the pension policy. Minneapolis, Minnesota Superintendent John E. Bradley, states that pensioning teachers can result to a more positive work outcome. Thomas M. Balliet, superintendent of Springfield, Massachusetts, believes that pensioning of teachers can improve their work by removing from them the anxiety of possible suffering from want in old age. |
