The article discusses the importance of moral premise in screenwriting. The moral premise focuses the storytelling in one direction and inextricably connects the main characters' motivation with their physical actions. Moral premise statement has four parts virtue, vice, description of desirable consequences and description of undesirable consequences. The four parts can be used to make a statement that describes precisely what a movie is about both physically and psychologically. |
