| Abstrakt: | The article presents the author's comments on the article "Personhood, Environment, and Relational Epistemology," by Nurit Bird-David, which is published in this issue of the journal. The author is of the view that Bird-David's call to challenge anthropologist Edward Burnett Tylor's embrace of the Western objectivist view of reality and revisiting animism comes at an appropriate time. Bird-David disagrees with Tylor's view of animism, and instead argues for a plurality of animisms. |
