The article presents a speech given by American Book Co. secretary Gilman H. Tucker before a meeting of the National Education Association in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Tucker observes that textbooks are indispensable aids which influence the outcome of elementary, high school, and college teaching. Textbook publishers have a certain responsibility regarding practice. |
