Abstrakt: The article discusses the frequency of changing school books in the U.S. Most states mandate the school books should be used from three to six years. On the average, a good book can last from ten to 20 years. Publishers have been criticized for making unnecessary revisions in school books for profit. In the end, the responsibility for regulating changes in school books lies not with Congress alone but with the teachers, school boards, and superintendents.
