Abstrakt: The article presents a study to characterize further the risk for preterm birth among women with bacterial vaginosis. Based on the results, the identification of BV with T. vaginalis and C. trachomatis was associated with increased levels of vaginal fluid of phospholipase A (PLA) 2. It also suggest that vaginal fluid PLA2 concentrations may be derived from bacterial and or host sources.
