Abstrakt:	This article discusses findings of a study which compared surgical outcomes prior to the introduction of an intention-to- treat endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) to overall surgical outcomes after the introduction date of the EVAR protocol. The surgical mortality rate associated with ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysms range from 45 to 50 percent. The methods used in the study are described.
