Abstrakt: The article presents information on recent developments in the classification, evaluation and treatment of insomnia. The International Classification of Sleep Disorders (ICSD)-2, a modified version of the original classification system is a set of diagnostic criteria to aid the clinician in establishing a clinical diagnosis for a patient. Guided imagery is a form of meditation and consists of having the patient visualize a specific scene associated with a calm and relaxed state.
