The article discusses the relationship of intelligence and behavior on both regular and mentally retarded students. The data were obtained from teachers' behavioral ratings and the frequency and degree of norm violating behavior of both regular and mentally retarded students. In the regular grades, bright students were more frequently norm conforming while the duller pupils are more often norm-violating. On the other hand, the dullest students tended to be more non-conforming while the brightest students are more often norm-violating in the classes of mentally retarded students. |
