Abstrakt: This section presents an encyclopedia entry for the coastal ecology of South America. It is believed that the rocky shores along the South American coast have an economic value because of the great diversity of species. On the other hand, the coral reefs ecosystems in the region is highly diverse as compared with the tropical rain forest.
