The chapter discusses the role of the social worker in providing economic supports and advocacy to people with HIV. The areas for which information is needed to assist a client in making a referral to the appropriate entitlement program are cited. A brief explanation of the major entitlements, general eligibility criteria, the application process and advocacy strategies is also provided. |
