Abstrakt: Chapter 19 of the book "A History of AIDS Social Work in Hospitals: A Daring Response to an Epidemic" is presented. It focuses on the hybrid of psychosocial needs that hospital social work/case management staff need to give to AIDS patient. It emphasizes that such needs can range from the mixture of a person's receiving an HIV and AIDS diagnosis to patient's rapid deterioration and death. It also discusses factors attributed to successful supervision of AIDS patients.
