| Abstrakt: | The article discusses the author's experience concerning the value of humor in children's folktales in awakening the child's interest in books. Humor in folktales can introduce children to a compelling message or lesson. Humor can also awaken their interest on what the book is all about. Psychologically, humor is healthy for children because they can laugh at characters who make mistakes that they are striving to outgrow. All these cases provide a stimulus to children to seek information. |
