The article reports on international cooperation to impose the necessary measures in the case of biological weapons. Considering the nature of biological weapons and the relative ease with which they can be produced, different nations recommended for measures to be taken. Negotiations on chemical and biological disarmament have yielded the first, though only partial, result in the form of a convention on the prohibition of the development, production and stockpiling of biological and toxin weapons and on their destruction. Each state assumes responsibility not only for observing the convention itself, but also for preventing the prohibited activities within the territory of such state. |
