Abstrakt: The article reports on the support given by the U.S. House of representatives defense appropriators to the Department of Defense's spending bill for 2007 which rearranges funding for several major military weapons programs. According to a House Appropriations Committee statement, the spending package is U.S. $4.1 billion less than the Defense Department's 2007 budget request, but also contains an additional U.S. $50 billion for paying for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
