| Abstrakt: |
The article discusses the findings of a study designed to determine the relationship between total mineral hardness values and the water input sources of Wasco Lake, Illinois. The study examines the calcium and magnesium content as total hardness values for samples of the lake waters. Also, it investigated the relation of surface runoff into the lake and ground water input and/or output by lake water. The study concludes that total mineral hardness values can be used as criteria for determining the source of the input waters entering the lake. |
