Abstrakt: The article presents a discussion on whether learning is improved by using a practice technique that is spaced over time and provides rest periods between sessions (spaced practice), or whether learning is improved by bunching the practice sessions together and allowing no rest between sessions (massed practice). It investigates the relative efficacy of spaced versus massed practice using a significant task in normal school classrooms. It involves both human and animal studies. Results of the studies are also provided.
