Abstrakt:	The article focuses on the Electronic Submission System (ESS) of the "Journal of Soils and Sediments." The editors-in-chief Ulrich Förstner, Wim Salomons and Zhihong Xu presented ESS for peer-reviewed papers. The system is designed to improve the process through electronic mail processes.
