Abstrakt: The article presents a discussion about sixth grade children and their curiosity for electricity. Majority of sixth grade students are interested in knowing about electricity but this is not a strong point to support the teaching of this topic. But this subject affects the life of a child in so many ways that a practical aspect is attached to it. Due to the reason that a unit in electricity serves both natural interest and usefulness, it was included in the science course of sixth grade by the Iowa State Teachers College in Iowa. Along with it, certain goals were also set up. Some of them were to increase a child's knowledge of electricity as well as its uses and to enable a child in managing simple wiring problems at the home. The children were shown how an electric current is produced with the help of a dry cell.
