The article identifies the hierarchical relationships among Piagetian cognitive modes and integrated science process skills for different cognitive reasoning levels and determines whether positive vertical transfers are validated. The research was carried out by using the Group Assessment of Logical Thinking to provide empirical data on the students' performance on six Piagetian cognitive skills. The Test of Integrated Process Skills was also applied to provide data on student performance on five integrated process skills. Results of the study show that there is evidence of the hierarchical link between Piagetian cognitive modes and integrated science process skills. |
