The article assesses that the occurrence of large-scale all-out wars can be prevented through the application of military technology. According to the author, the political and economic solutions to the problem of providing an abundant material life for the majority could not be achieved without the developments of science and technology. He views that social-political devices such as disarmament do not exist in practice and do not appear to come soon, despite of its adequateness in theory. In addition, he suggests that a new kind of cheap and easily transportable energy would offer technical tool on the problem of preserving peace. |
