Abstrakt: The article presents a study which aims to identify the relationship between the type and quality of science teaching strategy and student engagement. The experiment observed middle and high school teachers and students. The type and quality of implementation of teaching strategy was identified and student engagement was rated and the data collected were examined by regression analysis. The results indicated that these two aspects did relate to student engagement. The data showed that students' involvement in learning tasks corresponds with teaching strategy.
