The article presents a clinical image of a transection of the spinal cord. It features a 3-month-old girl with inability to move both lower limbs since birth following a difficult breech forceps delivery. The image shows loss of normal contour of the cord at C7 and D1 vertebral levels, and reveals intraspinal hematoma as low-signal hemosiderin in T2-weighted images with discontinuity of the cord as a sequela of a previous transection. |
