The article reports that disease control experts are investigating an outbreak of avian flu in a family in Indonesia. Eight family members were infected; six died. Researchers believe this is the first time avian flu has spread from one person to another and then on to a third. The World Health Organization has not found any signs that the flu has mutated into a form that can spread easily from person to person, but information remains scarce. |
