Abstrakt:	The article offers information on the cross-cultural electronic mail exchange project established between students in the U.S. and Chile that provides on-going authentic cultural input from across the two countries. This project has helped in the enhancement of the cultural awareness of foreign language students. In such a way, the target culture provides the foreign language learner with sights and sounds form abroad and meaningful interaction with a native speaker from the target country. The project originates from an exchange between advanced Spanish conversation students in the U.S. and advanced English students in a class of a Chilean university. The two groups exchange dialogue journals containing feedbacks and cultural commentaries.
