Abstrakt: The article focuses on the role of migrant labor and the labor standards within territories in India. It also compares the workers' health in the urban and rural environments. An analysis was made between colonial labor policy and the role of regulatory institutions and intermediaries in the labor market. The highlights of some aspects of the propagation of Indian labor migration in Southeast Asia is also presented.
