Abstrakt: The article presents several key statistics on retail trade in Canada in February 2006. Retail sales dropped by 0.4% in February 2006 after strong consumer spending in January 2006. The retail sales decline was primarily attributed to the automobile industry, which suffered a 2.5% drop in sales during the period. A sales drop was also experienced by miscellaneous retailers, general merchandise stores, furniture and home furnishings and electronics stores.
