| Abstrakt: |
The article discusses methods to be used in maximizing the use of arteriovenous fistulas (AVF) in a dialysis. The National Kidney Foundation Kidney Disease Outcomes Quality Initiative suggests the creation of a secondary AVF following each dialysis access failure and limiting the use of catheter are ways to maximize the use of AVF. In addition, vascular surgeons' and nephrologists' vast knowledge on dialysis therapy will also aid in maximizing the use of AVF. |
