The article reports that the final Boeing 717 jet transport was rolled out of the former Douglas Aircraft production site in Long Beach, California in April 2006. The roll-out was in preparation for the commencement of flight tests and delivery to AirTran Airways in May. The last aircraft officially marks the cessation of commercial aircraft manufacturing at the site. |
