| Abstrakt: | The article presents criticism of the poetry of poets Wallace Stevens and Stéphane Mallarmé. The author looks at the similarities between French Symbolist poetry and the motifs and images found in poems by Stevens, the representation of reality in the poetry of Stevens, and Platonic idealism in the work of Mallarmé. The article also discusses stasis and continuity in the poets's works. |
