| Abstrakt: | The article presents a speech by Raymond Streat, president of the Textile Institute, delivered during the annual general meeting of the institute in Leicester, England on April 23, 1947. He says that the institute has never been more valued or more valuable than in 1947 because in this year the textile industries stand in critical need of an intensification of technological skill to cope with new scientific developments, to make the best, and to plan wisely for modernization. |
