| Abstrakt: |
The article presents a study of the possible relation between peridontitis and coronary heart disease (CHD) and its implications to microbiological aspects. A study was conducted using patients with confirmed CHD and patients without history of CHD and using Subgingival biofilm samples as the study method. It reveals that there is significance relation between periodontitis and the presence of CHD. The microbiological parameters also provides the contribution of potential risk factors for CHD. |
