Abstrakt: A large canid was snared near Sainte-Marguerite-de-Lingwick, Québec, in January 2002. DNA analysis confirmed the animal to be a Wolf (Canis lupus). Wolves were extirpated from this region around 1850–1900 and this is the first confirmed observation since then. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
