Abstrakt: The work outlined shows the potential value of thin impermeable coated fabrics as light-weight blankets for field use. In suitable construction, synthetic-fibre socks and underclothing may be of no hygienic disadvantage under conditions of sweating, but blends with absorptive fibres may be more suitable. The heat sorption of wool has not yet shown convincing evidence for its physiological value as garments worn under simulated damp cold conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
