This article discusses the economic growth of India. The robust performances of India in the information technology, industrial and services arenas over the past few years has placed it firmly on the world stage as an engine of global growth and a shaper of the way business is done. With 8 percent gross domestic product growth in the first half of fiscal 2006, India has further underscored the growth momentum in the economy, and the broad-based and diversified nature of this growth. |
