The article outlines how Pakistan has met the economic challenges it has faced since 2000 and what its plans are for 2006. Deregulation, privatization and continuity of policies in a transparent manner were the bedrock on which the economic revival program was structured. The growth targets set by the government are based on programs that will alleviate poverty. It has provided loans to people who would not be able to qualify through the traditional banking system. |
