Abstrakt: | The article discusses the struggles of New York, N.Y. street musicians, James Graseck, Dorothy Carter, Maxine Roach, Charles Dalton, and Morton Sanders. Graseck paid thirty-three hundred dollars to rent the Carnegie Hall and play his hundred-year-old Italian violin. Carter is a dulcimer player who performs on the corner of West Fourth and Jones streets. |
